Job Description

  • The External Sales Representative is responsible for driving profitable revenue growth by managing and growing an allocated customer base through disciplined sales execution, consistent customer engagement, and correct product application, in line with company standards and policies.
  • The successful candidate will service customers across the North West, Northern Cape, and Free State regions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive achievement of revenue and margin targets.
  • Grow and maintain active customer accounts.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships through consistent engagement.
  • Identify and prescribe products and services based on customer and market needs.
  • Follow up on sales leads generated by Internal Sales and external sources, including newly opened COD accounts.
  • Generate and follow up on quotations, sales orders, and invoices.
  • Identify and recommend products or ranges based on customer requirements, market opportunities, and current stock levels.
  • Conduct regular customer visits according to an established call cycle, applying the 80/20 time allocation principle.
  • Train customers on product usage and applications or coordinate training through suppliers and internal resources.
  • Ensure accurate reporting, compliance, and adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a high standard of customer service and product support.

Inherent Requirements
Key Requirements

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in Automotive Aftermarket or Parts Sales.
  • Experience in Wholesale and/or Retail Replacement Parts Sales.
  • Experience and knowledge of Automotive Mobile (Moving) Air Conditioning systems.
  • Proven track record in external sales and customer relationship management.
  • Existing industry customer networks will be advantageous.

Education

Matric (non-negotiable).

  • Automotive Parts Product Knowledge.
  • Technical understanding of motor vehicle air-conditioning systems and products (preferred).
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Industry knowledge and market awareness.
