Export Packer (Fine Art Shipping) Job Title: Export Packer - Fine Art & Antiques Location: South London Employment Type: Full‑Time, Permanent We are seeking a reliable and detail‑oriented Export Packer to join our specialist fine art shipping team. In this role you will be responsible for preparing high‑value artworks, antiques, and fragile items for international transport. You\'ll work with a variety of packing materials, custom crates, and protective solutions to ensure items are safely secured and delivered to their destination without damage. Key Responsibilities Prepare and pack fine art, antiques, and delicate items for export shipment. Select and build appropriate packing materials and custom crates/cases. Apply specialist techniques to protect artwork during handling and transport. Check and record item condition before and after packing (including photography and documentation). Ensure all export packaging meets international shipping and customs regulations. Coordinate with Operations for scheduling, documentation, and export paperwork. Maintain a clean, organised packing workshop and manage stock of packing materials. Occasionally assist with loading, unloading and on‑site packing at customer premises. Report any issues or damage to supervisors promptly. Qualifications & Experience Experience in export packing art and antiques Experience working for a fine art shipper (required) Strong attention to detail and a careful approach to delicate items. Good physical fitness - capable of lifting and manoeuvring freight safely. Ability to follow handling and packing procedures accurately. Full UK driving license preferred (for occasional onsite work). Forklift / case‑making tool experience Skills Excellent organisational and time‑management skills.
