Job Overview We are seeking an expert in media-centric quality assurance development to join our team. As a Quality Assurance Engineer for Apple Vision Pro, you will have the opportunity to work on Apple's VisionPro, running on VisionOS. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality of critical applications, working closely with cross-functional teams to develop robust solutions that improve productivity and ship releases with high quality. Key Responsibilities Provide functional and integration quality-assurance testing for backend services and platforms, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability. Build QE Automation tools and platforms with the goal of 100% automation and reduction of regression test cycles, leveraging your expertise in automation and testing to drive efficiency and effectiveness. Innovate and build functional testing tools, enhancing existing automation platforms and contributing to the development of new ones, always looking for ways to improve our testing capabilities and processes. Work closely with multi-functional organizations, project teams, and clients to develop project schedules, execute test plans and cases, and deliver high-quality products, demonstrating your ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with stakeholders. Act as a strong advocate for quality in the product development process for software engineering, ensuring that quality is at the forefront of everything we do and that our products meet the highest standards of excellence. Contribute to initiatives to improve the overall QE process, such as identifying gaps or inefficiencies in workflows and suggesting improvements, always looking for ways to optimize our processes and improve our results. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: A BSCS or comparable degree and/or relevant experience, demonstrating your foundation in computer science and software engineering. 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance on backend services, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality products and services. 1+ year of experience with C++, demonstrating your proficiency in programming languages and software development. 1+ year of experience with Media Technologies, with a strong understanding of media formats, protocols, and technologies. Experience with Distributed Systems QA, with a deep understanding of distributed systems, networking, and scalability. Expert communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders, including technical and non-technical teams. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Management experience, with a proven track record of leading teams and managing projects. Python programming skills, with experience in scripting and automation. Networking experience, including TCP, UDP, and SRT protocols, with a deep understanding of networking fundamentals and protocols. Performance analysis experience, with a strong understanding of performance optimization and benchmarking. Video and audio processing experience, with a deep understanding of media processing and compression algorithms. Docker experience, with a strong understanding of containerization and orchestration. Education and Experience We are looking for individuals with a strong educational foundation in computer science or a related field, combined with relevant experience in quality assurance, software development, and media technologies.
