About the Role
Our client is actively recruiting for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join their operations in Vereeniging . This critical role ensures the optimal functionality and reliability of all electrical equipment and systems within the plant. You will be responsible for developing and implementing proactive maintenance strategies, responding to electrical faults, and ensuring compliance with all safety and operational standards. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on engineer to contribute to the smooth running of industrial operations in Gauteng .
Key Responsibilities Develop and execute planned electrical maintenance schedules for all plant machinery and systems. Diagnose and repair electrical faults in low and medium voltage equipment, control panels, and power distribution systems. Oversee the installation and commissioning of new electrical equipment. Ensure all maintenance activities are performed in accordance with safety regulations and company procedures. Manage electrical spare parts inventory and liaise with suppliers for procurement. Train and mentor junior maintenance technicians on best practices and safety procedures. Requirements National Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering. Minimum of 4 years of experience in electrical maintenance within an industrial or manufacturing environment. Proven experience with motor control, PLCs, VFDs, and electrical troubleshooting. Strong knowledge of electrical safety standards and practices (e.g., Lockout/Tagout). Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical manuals.
