E-Commerce Delivery Driver

Hands-on from day one, the E-Commerce Delivery Driver will communicate proactively with the control room about delays and route exceptions, scan parcels accurately on collection and delivery using the company handheld and handle fragile, high-value, and time-critical items with care for an e-commerce fulfilment business in Roodepoort, Gauteng.

Responsibilities

  • Handle fragile, high-value, and time-critical items with care and confidentiality.
  • Scan parcels accurately on collection and delivery using the company handheld or mobile app.
  • Execute high-volume multi-drop parcel and document deliveries within tight delivery windows.
  • Provide courteous, professional service to customers at every doorstep and reception.
  • Plan efficient routes throughout the day to maximise the number of completed stops.
  • Keep the delivery van or bakkie clean, branded, fuelled, and roadworthy.
  • Obtain and capture proof of delivery for every parcel and resolve failed deliveries promptly.

Requirements

  • A valid Code B (light motor vehicle) driving licence with a clean driving record.
  • Previous experience in the express courier or last-mile delivery industry is preferred.
  • Honest and reliable, with the ability to handle valuable parcels responsibly.
  • Proficient with smartphone navigation, scanning, and electronic proof-of-delivery apps.
  • Excellent time management and the ability to work at pace under deadline pressure.
  • A friendly, presentable, and customer-focused attitude.

Qualifications

Grade 11 or Grade 12. Valid Code B licence.
