E-Commerce Coordinator

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and optimise product listings and catalogue data across online marketplaces including Amazon, Takealot, Loot, and other digital platforms.

  • Ensure product listing accuracy, content completeness, and compliance with marketplace requirements across all active SKUs.

  • Optimise product listings for SEO and SEM, including keyword research, keyword mapping, and on-platform search optimisation.

  • Support and coordinate PPC (Pay-Per-Click) advertising campaigns, including sponsored products, to improve visibility and conversions.

  • Continuously improve click-through rates (CTR), conversion rates, and keyword rankings through content, image, and campaign optimisation.

  • Coordinate new product launches, listing updates, and catalogue enhancements while ensuring agreed turnaround times and service levels are met.

  • Monitor inventory availability, listing health, and Buy Box performance, escalating any issues or risks where necessary.

  • Track, analyse, and report on KPIs, sales performance, and marketplace growth metrics to support data-driven business decisions. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in the related field

  • Matric

Preferred Experience

  • 2–5 years' experience in an e-commerce, online marketplace, or digital merchandising role.

  • Experience managing marketplaces such as Amazon, Takealot, Loot, Bidorbuy/Bob Shop, or similar platforms.

  • Experience with product information management (PIM) systems or catalogue management.

  • Experience with online merchandising and product listing optimisation.

Technical Skills

  • Strong understanding of SEO and online product optimisation.

  • Experience with SEM and PPC advertising (Amazon Sponsored Ads, Google Ads or similar).

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel.

  • Experience with Google Analytics (GA4) or similar analytics platforms.

  • Knowledge of marketplace dashboards and seller portals.

  • Understanding of inventory management and stock synchronisation.

  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Sage, Syspro or similar would be advantageous.
