DRIVER (COURIER)

REFERENCE NUMBER: 16/2026

SALARY: MARKET RELATED (NEGOTIABLE)

Purpose: We are seeking a reliable, professional, and safety-conscious Courier Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and timely collection, transportation, and delivery of parcels, documents, and other consignments while providing excellent customer service and ensuring compliance with road traffic regulations and company policies.

Minimum Requirements:

Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent qualification.

Valid South African Code C Driver's Licence.

Valid Professional Driving Permit (PrDP/PDP).

Minimum of 1-2 years' experience as a courier, delivery, or commercial driver.

Clean driving record with no serious traffic offences.

Good knowledge of local roads, routes, and GPS navigation systems.

Physically fit and able to lift and carry parcels when required.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Ability to work under pressure and meet strict delivery deadlines.

Honest, reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.

Key Responsibilities:

Collect and deliver parcels, packages, and documents to customers within the assigned routes.

Ensure deliveries and collections are completed accurately and on time.

Verify delivery information and obtain customer signatures or proof of delivery.

Load and unload goods safely and securely.

Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any defects or maintenance requirements.

Keep the assigned vehicle clean and in good working condition.

Adhere to all road traffic laws, health and safety regulations, and company procedures.

Maintain accurate delivery records, trip logs, and fuel records.

Handle customer queries professionally and courteously.

Always safeguard company property and customer consignments.
