Digital Transformation & Innovation Lead Global Markets

To lead the development and execution of the Global Markets(GM) digital transformation and innovation strategy across Africa enabling sustainable growth enhanced client experience increased digital adoption and market expansion across business segments. The role is accountable for identifying developing and scaling digital opportunities across Retail Foreign Exchange Retail Cross Border Payments Remittances International Payments Retail Investments and Equities Trading while partnering with centre of excellence teams to deliver measurable business value across African markets.

Role Responsibilities

  • Product & Platform Account Management: Monitor African market trends regulations fintech and client insights. Collaborate with Product Platform and country teams to drive Global Markets digital transformation across FX payments remittances investments and trading.
  • GM Retail Africa Strategy & Execution: Develop and deliver the Global Markets digital transformation strategy across Africa aligning with PPB BCB and Global Markets objectives through execution roadmaps milestones performance measures and benefits realisation.
  • Digital Transformation & Growth Roadmap: Define and maintain a multi-year growth roadmap across FX payments remittances investments and trading prioritising initiatives by client needs value feasibility regulatory readiness and strategy.
  • Digital Innovation: Lead scalable digital solutions that drive client acquisition retention adoption revenue growth and operational efficiency across Africa.
  • Business Case Development & Stakeholder Management: Develop business cases value propositions and commercialisation plans while partnering stakeholders to coordinate delivery manage dependencies resolve issues and drive execution.
  • GM Retail Market Expansion & Client Experience: Lead African rollout of digital Global Markets solutions optimising customer journeys through insights and analytics to drive adoption engagement and product usage.
  • Data Management: Consolidate platform analytics revenue and turnover insights to inform client strategies optimise functionality and monetise data. Track transformation outcomes through performance metrics adoption revenue efficiency risk and leadership reporting.
  • Drive digital transformation and adoption across African markets by enhancing digital propositions and self-service capabilities improving client experience reducing friction leading change initiatives and embedding sustainable adoption of new capabilities.
  • Identify growth opportunities and optimise value delivery through market trend analysis strategic partnerships across Product Technology and Operations continuous platform improvement portfolio performance reviews and benefits realisation.
  • Strengthen capability governance and risk management by coaching matrix teams promoting innovation and structured delivery ensuring regulatory compliance and supporting effective decision-making across transformation initiatives.

Qualifications :

Degree Business Commerce Information Technology Banking Product Management Financial Markets

Experience Required

  • Experience supporting shaping or delivering digital innovation or transformation initiatives including requirements definition customer journey optimisation product development stakeholder engagement and solution design across banking or financial services.
  • 3-5 years Experience in critically reviewing and presenting business cases value propositions go-to-market plans and benefits realisation frameworks for digital strategic transformation or commercial growth initiatives across multiple markets.
  • 5-10 years Experience in banking financial services fintech or a large corporate environment with broad exposure to African markets and strong knowledge of Global Markets products including Retail Foreign Exchange Cross Border Payments Remittances International Payments Retail Investments and/or Equities Trading.
