Deal Desk Lead
About the position
Reducto is seeking its first dedicated Deal Desk Lead to partner with Account Executives, Customer Success, Legal, and Operations to facilitate deal closure. This role involves managing commercial terms, agreements, account setup, and invoicing. While a significant part of the process is already automated, the Deal Desk Lead will own daily operations, enhance existing automation, and build new integrations as the company's products, pricing, and deal volume evolve. This is an on-site role in San Francisco, requiring a proactive approach to automation and accuracy in daily work.
Responsibilities
- Own daily deal desk operations, partnering with Account Executives on deal structure, commercial terms, and the steps needed to move each deal through approval and signature.
- Review pricing, commitments, discounts, and payment terms against policies, identifying exceptions, recommending solutions, and driving decisions with approvers.
- Ensure deals have the correct agreements and attachments (order forms, services agreements, DPAs, BAAs) according to the contracting playbook.
- Partner with Legal on customer redlines and non-standard agreements, providing commercial context and clarifying questions.
- Manage the handoff from signature to a working account, including billing configuration, provisioning, contractual account settings, and initial invoicing.
- Maintain and improve deal desk automation and build new integrations across quoting, contracts, CRM, billing, and payments.
- Run the operational side of contract renewals, expansions, amendments, and true-ups with Customer Success, including updating pricing and account configurations.
- Keep contract templates, approval workflows, and deal records accurate as policies evolve, collaborating with Legal and Finance.
- Own deal turnaround time and visibility, informing AEs of blockers and next steps, and maintaining guidance for accurate deal preparation.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in deal desk, contract operations, or revenue operations at a B2B software company, with deal desk work as a primary focus.
- Strong business judgment with an understanding of deal processes, trade-offs, and when to escalate issues.
- Understanding of commercial agreements, required deal documents, and translating signed terms into billing and account setup.
- Hands-on experience with CRM and billing systems (Salesforce / Metronome / Stripe).
- Comfort configuring business systems, understanding data flow, and troubleshooting workflows.
- Proven ability to build or improve automation and integrations.
- Willingness to be hands-on and own the function as the first dedicated hire.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with quote-to-cash for usage-based or consumption pricing (commitments, credit draw-down, overages) beyond per-seat subscriptions.
- Previous experience as a company's first deal desk hire.
- Experience implementing or migrating a usage-based billing platform.
- Experience supporting revenue recognition on consumption contracts.

- Daily Lunch
- 401(k) with a 4% company match
