About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated Community Health Nurse to serve the residents of Stellenbosch and surrounding areas. This role involves providing essential primary healthcare services, health education, and preventative care directly within the community. You will work with diverse populations, addressing health needs ranging from chronic disease management to maternal and child health. The position requires a balance of direct patient care in community settings and remote administrative tasks, ensuring comprehensive health support. Key Responsibilities Conduct health screenings, assessments, and provide primary healthcare services. Develop and deliver health education programs on topics such as nutrition, hygiene, and disease prevention. Manage chronic conditions through regular follow-ups and patient support. Provide antenatal and postnatal care, as well as child immunization services. Collaborate with local clinics, hospitals, and social services to ensure holistic patient care. Requirements Registered Nurse with a valid South African Nursing Council license. Experience in community health nursing, primary healthcare, or public health. Strong clinical skills in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of common health conditions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient education.
