Clinic Nurse - Pinelands, Cape Town

Dis-Chem is hiring a Clinic Nurse for their new store in Pinelands, Cape Town, Western Cape. This job is about running a small health clinic inside a pharmacy. You will help patients with basic medical care and manage the clinic.

What the job is:
You will work as a Clinic Nurse in a busy pharmacy. Your main job is to provide primary healthcare services to patients. You will also manage the clinic to ensure it runs well and makes a profit.

What you will do:
- Give basic medical care to patients following health rules.
- Keep track of how many patients visit the clinic each hour.
- Ensure the clinic is open during business hours.
- Keep patient records up to date and follow up on communications.
- Process medical aid claims correctly and on time.
- Check that clinic equipment and stock are in good condition.
- Build good relationships with patients, pharmacy staff, medical aids, and suppliers.

What you need:
- Matric certificate.
- A nursing degree or diploma.
- A midwifery degree or diploma.
- Registered with the South African Nursing Council (SANC).
- Must get BHF registration.
- 2-3 years of experience as a Clinic Nurse in primary healthcare.
- Good computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Knowledge of community health, family planning, emergency care, and HIV/AIDS counseling.
- Must speak and write English well.
- Must understand clinic finances and targets.
- Must be honest, self-motivated, and good at managing time.

Nice to have:
- 5 years of experience as a Clinic Nurse.
- Experience with patient record systems like CKS and Allegra.
- Bilingual.
- Courses in baby immunization, family planning, or disease management.
