Farra Civil Pty Ltd is a civil construction contractor delivering earthworks, road construction, drainage, subdivisions, haulage and plant hire projects throughout regional New South Wales.

We are seeking an experienced Civil Estimating Contractor based in the Philippines to provide estimating support on an as-needed contract basis.

This is not an employment position. Work will be allocated when tender opportunities arise and may vary from month to month depending on workload.

About the Role

You will assist our estimating team with quantity take-offs, BOQ preparation and tender pricing for Australian civil construction projects.

The successful contractor will work remotely and be engaged on a per-tender or agreed basis.

Responsibilities

  • Review Australian civil construction drawings and specifications

  • Complete quantity take-offs using Bluebeam, PlanSwift, CostX or similar software

  • Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs)

  • Assist with tender build-ups and pricing submissions

  • Identify material, labour and subcontractor requirements

  • Maintain accurate estimating records and supporting documentation

  • Communicate with Farra Civil's management team during tender preparation

Requirements

Essential

  • Demonstrated experience estimating Australian civil construction projects

  • Strong understanding of Australian civil construction methodologies

  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications

  • Experience preparing quantity take-offs and BOQs

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

  • Reliable internet connection and ability to work remotely

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tender deadlines

Preferred

  • Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying qualification

  • Experience with Bluebeam, CostX, PlanSwift or similar estimating software

  • Previous experience estimating local government or TfNSW projects

Contract Details

  • Remote contractor engagement

  • Work allocated as tender opportunities arise

  • No guaranteed minimum hours

  • Flexible workload

  • Paid per tender or by agreed hourly rate

  • Long-term relationship preferred

Typical Contract Range

  • Small Council RFQ: AUD $150 – $300

  • Medium Tender: AUD $300 – $600

  • Large Tender: AUD $600 – $1,200+
