Civil Design Technologist / Technician
Introduction
Join our Municipal Infrastructure team and contribute to the planning, design, and delivery of municipal infrastructure projects across South Africa. Working alongside experienced engineers and multidisciplinary teams, you'll be involved throughout the project lifecycle, from planning and detailed design through to construction support.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the planning, design, and documentation of municipal infrastructure projects.
- Prepare civil engineering drawings, layouts, and technical documentation.
- Develop designs for roads, stormwater, water supply, sewer reticulation, and related infrastructure.
- Prepare design calculations, quantities, specifications, and technical reports.
- Assist with tender documentation and contract administration.
- Coordinate project information with engineers, contractors, architects, and other consultants.
- Attend project meetings and liaise with clients and relevant authorities.
- Produce accurate engineering drawings using Civil 3D and AutoCAD.
Minimum Requirements
- National Diploma, BTech, Advanced Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering.
- 2–5 years' experience in municipal infrastructure design and drafting.
- Proficiency in Civil 3D and AutoCAD.
- Good understanding of municipal infrastructure projects, including roads, stormwater, water, and sewer services.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Strong technical, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams
