The Eggfree Cake Box is the UK’s largest specialist cake retailer, producing and selling delicious, freshly made egg‑free celebration cakes. With over 200 stores nationwide, we pride ourselves on creating stunning fresh‑cream cakes for every occasion — all made fresh in‑store by our talented decorators.

Our new Kingston store is opening soon, and we’re looking for passionate Cake Decorators to join our growing team.

The Role

As a Cake Decorator, you’ll play a key part in bringing our cakes to life — decorating, finishing, and personalising each one to the high standards that make Cake Box loved across the UK.

This is a hands‑on role in a busy, fast‑paced environment. You’ll be part of a friendly, collaborative team where precision, consistency and creativity come together to delight our customers.

What You’ll Do

  • Decorate and finish fresh‑cream and egg‑free cakes to brand standards.
  • Fill sponge layers with cream and spreads, preparing them for decoration.
  • Write personalised messages on customer‑order cakes with skill and accuracy.
  • Create attractive display cakes and slices for the shop fridges.
  • Maintain quality, presentation and hygiene standards at all times.
  • Support team members with day‑to‑day kitchen and cleaning routines.
  • Work with the front‑of‑house team to ensure displays are full and visually appealing.

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience in cake decorating or bakery/kitchen work.
  • Confident with piping, writing and finishing techniques.
  • Excellent attention to detail and steady hands.
  • Team player with a positive attitude and reliable work ethic.
  • Flexible to work weekends and varied shifts.
  • Awareness of food hygiene and cleanliness standards.
  • Qualification in cake decorating, baking or patisserie (not essential).
  • Experience in a high‑volume or chain bakery environment.
  • Ability to train or support new team members.
