Artisanal Baker - Night Shift (Oxford)

Location: Unit 5 Station Field Industrial Estate, Kidlington, OX5 1JD

Position: Artisanal Baker - Night shift

Start date: ASAP

Salary: Starting at £30,500 per annum (depending on experience)

Hours: 9-hour shifts with half an hour break, 5 days working and 2 days off, shifts may vary depending on working schedule:

  • Sunday to Thursday: 10:30 PM - 8:00 AM
  • Friday to Saturday: 10:00 PM - 7:30 AM

We are looking for an experienced Artisanal Baker to join our night shift team. You will be responsible for operating the ovens and helping in the making of hand-crafted high-quality bread and viennoiserie using traditional techniques.

KEY RESPONSABILITIES

  • Operate ovens and manage the baking process to ensure optimal results.
  • Prepare and mix dough according to standardised recipes and production requirements.
  • Monitor and check provers, scoring, glazing, and shaping doughs.
  • Assist with cleaning and maintaining bread baskets and other bakery equipment.
  • Step into viennoiserie production when necessary to support colleagues.
  • Ensure all baked goods meet high-quality standards and align with daily orders.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to execute production plans efficiently.
  • Adapt to high-volume production while maintaining artisan baking methods.
  • Maintain a clean, organised workstation and handle equipment with care.
  • Follow all food hygiene and safety regulations in accordance with UK legislation and company policies.

This role is also open to candidates with experience but who still need to be trained further.
