Application Support Developer

Location: Morley, Leeds / Hybrid

At Evri, we're on a mission to keep our technology moving as fast as our parcels. We're looking for an Application Support Developer to join our Level 2 Development Support team, supporting the critical systems that help deliver millions of parcels across the UK every week.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys solving complex technical problems, working with cloud-based applications, and using their coding skills to improve the stability, performance and reliability of business-critical systems.

What You'll Do

  • Provide 2nd line support for complex, internally developed applications
  • Take ownership of technical incidents and drive them through to resolution
  • Investigate and resolve issues using logs, monitoring tools, application metrics and SQL queries
  • Work closely with Development, Infrastructure and third-party suppliers to troubleshoot complex problems
  • Support Incident, Problem, Change and Knowledge Management processes
  • Help maintain and continuously improve production environments, with a focus on automation and operational efficiency
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues before they impact customers and colleagues
  • Support the successful release of new features and applications into production
  • Create and maintain knowledge articles, runbooks and troubleshooting documentation
  • Contribute to service improvements that enhance system performance, stability and user experience
  • Participate in an on-call rota providing out-of-hours support
What You'll Bring
  • Experience in Application Support, IT Support or a similar technical role
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience supporting cloud-hosted applications, ideally within AWS environments
  • SQL experience and the ability to query and analyse data effectively
  • Knowledge of application logs, monitoring tools and debugging techniques
  • Familiarity with APIs, integrations and Windows/Linux environments
  • A proactive approach to continuous improvement and service excellence
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • IT-related degree, equivalent qualification or relevant industry experience
