Capitec Bank is seeking a talented individual to join our growing technology team, ideally based in Queenstown (Komani), Eastern Cape. This is a unique opportunity for a developer who thrives in a flexible work environment, blending on-site collaboration with the freedom of remote work, allowing for a balanced and productive lifestyle.

As an App Developer specializing in both iOS and Android, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining our next-generation mobile applications that serve millions of South Africans. Your work will directly impact our clients' daily lives, providing them with seamless, secure, and intuitive banking experiences. You'll work closely with product managers, UI/UX designers, and other engineers across our organization to translate complex business requirements into elegant, high-performing, and secure mobile solutions. From initial conceptualization and wireframing to coding, testing, and deployment, your expertise will ensure our applications not only meet but consistently exceed user expectations and adhere to the highest industry standards for quality and security.

We are looking for a proactive problem-solver with a strong understanding of the mobile ecosystem, including the latest trends in UI/UX, performance optimization, and security protocols. A commitment to continuous improvement and a desire to contribute to a collaborative team environment are key. This hybrid role offers the flexibility to manage your time effectively, allowing for a balanced approach to work and personal life while still being an integral part of our local team and engaging in face-to-face brainstorming sessions when needed. You will be expected to contribute actively to code reviews, potentially mentor junior developers, and continuously stay abreast of emerging mobile technologies and best practices to keep Capitec at the forefront of digital banking innovation. If you're ready to make a significant impact within a leading financial institution known for its agility and client-centric approach, and you're seeking a role that offers both flexibility and tremendous growth potential, we encourage you to apply. Your contribution will directly influence the digital banking experience for our diverse client base across the nation.

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest mobile technologies, trends, and security best practices to ensure our applications remain competitive and secure.
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues across the application stack, from UI components to API integrations.
