Admitted Attorney - US Paralegal

About the Opportunity
Our client is a well-established American boutique law firm with more than three decades of experience representing individuals in a wide range of personal litigation matters. The firm has built a strong reputation for providing personalized legal representation and is entering an exciting new phase of growth and modernization.They are seeking an Admitted South African Attorney with 1–2 years of post-Articles experience who is looking to build an international legal career. In this role, you will work as a US Paralegal, supporting experienced US attorneys across a variety of litigation matters. While you will not be practising as an attorney in the United States, you will apply your legal training, analytical thinking, drafting abilities, and attention to detail to assist with legal case management and litigation support.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to the US legal system while working remotely as part of a collaborative and supportive team.
Key Responsibilities
• Support US attorneys with litigation matters throughout the case lifecycle.• Draft, review, and prepare legal documents, pleadings, correspondence, and court filings.
• Conduct legal research and gather supporting documentation for ongoing matters.
• Organize, maintain, and manage legal case files and documentation.
• Monitor litigation deadlines, court dates, and filing requirements.
• Prepare case summaries, discovery documents, and litigation support materials.
• Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and third parties where required.
• Coordinate meetings, hearings, depositions, mediations, and client consultations.
• Review evidence and assist with case preparation.
• Work closely with senior attorneys to ensure matters progress efficiently.
• Assist with improving legal workflows and administrative processes where appropriate.
Requirements
• Admitted Attorney in South Africa.• 1–2 years of post-Articles legal experience.
• Litigation experience is highly advantageous.
• Strong legal drafting, research, and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable working independently in a fully remote role.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• A genuine interest in learning the US legal system and building a long-term international legal career.
